This is so funny you'll want to keep flipping through to find more quips. The book does not judge either way but gives a wonderful history of how we got here.. Some of the topologies are presented for the first time in the English language. He is still very un sure of himself but as the story progresses he becomes stronger in who he is and what he must do. Hodgkin is a historiography geek with no interest in writing a history of mathematics other than to nitpick about details. Until then, I will use the reference data in this manual along with my prior experience and other information sources to resolve the conflicts as I come across them.. I wholeheartedly agree with the previous Amazon reviews, particularly those from Scott C., Joseph Thomason, and Chris Baker.
