From Library Journal A clinical psychologist specializing in addictive disorders, Wassmer writes from personal experience concerning the syndrome of codependency. He emphasizes the concept of alcoholism as disease--"genetic, metabolic, progressive and ultimately terminal"--as he marshals facts and uses personal vignettes to illustrate and explore the devastation wrought by alcoholism or other addiction to the lives of addict and codependent. For a relationship to survive, stresses Wassmer, both addict and codependent must recover together. Major sections provide a clear understanding of what addiction is and is not, explore the nature of codependency, and examine various sources of help. Especially valuable are the excellent guidelines for evaluating individuals and organizations that offer help to alcoholics and their families. Well written and empathic. Millett has been involved in many of the leading hard cases of his day and this new series of memories can be rightly described as a frank and revealing account of his life and career both at the Bar and on the Bench, and it makes for fascinating reading.
Of course, we are not going to give away any of Millett’s autobiographical secrets in this review so do read it for yourselves. No table of contents, missing updates, very little "consumer" info. This might be a decent reference book if it contained more detailed information. There is an exhaustive listing of Class-D, E, and F power amplifiers, their inverse circuits, variants, and mixed-class circuits. Beautiful shots of great cars in here.
