It is something we all need to remember in making sense of the past as well as the present. Some of these ideas we now know are unequivically wrong. The author establishes that Freud was over-ambitious, but then it veers into detailed speculation about why Freud was so driven. I enjoyed it. I think it's absurd, unhelpful and particularly damaging to women. Freud, was an advocate of the Cartesian ideas so integral to the development of this age which now remains dominant. We are most grateful to have such frank disclosures in the modern context so we are given such a better idea of how judging has actually been carried out at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century… a great step forward for jurisprudence transparency, and legal history.. SOME GREAT LEGAL ANECDOTES WELCOMED AT A TIME OF CHANGE FOR THE BENCH AND THE BAR
