This book has been made possible by the generosity of a Student who is a member of The United Lodge of Theosophists. The matter in it appeared in the Magazine Theosophy, published by that Lodge, in various issues from November, 1913, to February, 1917. Notes upon chapters One to Seven, inclusive, were written by William Q. Judge, and were first printed in his magazine The Path, appearing in various numbers from 1887 to 1895. These Notes by Mr. Judge were signed “William Brehon, F. T. S.,” or “William Brehon”—pen names used by Mr. Judge. The Notes for the remaining eleven Chapters were written by a Student of William Q. About the Author William Q. Judge is the E.V. Williams Chair of Strategic Leadership and Professor of Strategic Management at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Bill was a U.S. Fulbright scholar to MGIMO University in Moscow in 2001, formerly served as the Director of the EMBA Program at the University of Tennessee, and has served as a board member for a $300 million health system for nine years. During his career, he has earned five different teaching awards and helped to train over 50 strategic management doctoral students. Dr. Judge's primary expertise is in the area of strategic leadership and corporate governance. He has published a popular simulation on "change management" at Harvard Business Publishing, three books, and many top-tier journal articles. The story moves quickly through the years that follow, however, the author expresses it this way: "The evolution from an affable, dependent, defensive young girl to a self-supporting, confident, decisive woman is a long, rough, and trying journey."
I found myself not wanting to miss a single word of this journey. It's only been 5 weeks now and I can play without even looking sometimes.
